Unexpected Surprises

Life is full of un-expectancies, but I like to think of them as unexpected surprises! The past couple of weeks have been FULL ones (to say the least). During this time, our sweet home has dwindled from 7 residents to 3. There were 3 babies delivered in one week's time alone! Whew! With each day, there is something new going on. Honestly, there is never a dull moment. As I've been able to finally quiet myself (after much persistence from Papa), I've reflected on all that's occurred. And I'm beginning to realize that I don't always handle surprises (good or bad) very well. I like to know what's ahead and what's going to happen next. But Papa has been teaching me how desiring a life like that, is desiring a life without faith. A life without hope. And frankly, a life without complete trust in Him. So, this evening, I found myself sitting back and repenting and asking Papa to surprise me in whatever way He chooses (as long as my character is strengthened). My encouragement to you this week is that you'd allow Papa (Father, God) to surprise you. Imagine yourself riding bareback on a horse. Let Papa be in front and hold on tight! You're in for an exciting and unexpected ride! :) Blessings...
