Your Love Never Fails

You romance me with purity and sweet wine poured into a cup of communion...

How beautiful is your love, my sister, my bride! How much better is your love than wine, and the fragrance of your oils than any other spice. -Song of Solomon 4:10

Oftentimes we fail to allow ourselves to be romanced, to be touched to the core of our being. We don't really allow God to enter into the most intricate areas of our hearts (even though he knows every nook and cranny of them). Or--if we do allow him into those areas, we fail to let the people who care about us in. We are more afraid of getting hurt. We lean into fear, instead of into love and vulnerability. And the truth is, people will let us down. We will eventually get hurt, but the rewards of loving are so much greater!
Personally, as a single, I can find it difficult on both accounts. My heart's first impulse is to try to protect itself. And this only brings bondage, not freedom. Because I'm meant to love and to be loved. I'm meant to receive and then to give it away and to walk freely--unwounded, unscarred, untouched. Free in love! It's almost as if the Father is constantly saying to me: Come lean in me awhile. Don't ever leave. Don't ever leave my presence. Hang out awhile. Let me love you and then give it away. And let others love you--even in their imperfections because you are imperfect as well. It's only in Me that you can love fully! Keep coming. Keep giving and surrender your heart completely. Surrender it wholeheartedly!
So, surrender your heart wholeheartedly! Let Him into those places that you're not even certain are there. And let others in. Let your heart be an open door. Let your heart be an open heart....flooded with the light and the rivers of his unfailing love! The key is intimacy. Get intimate with Him and with others. May your heart burn for Jesus and His heart today! Don't be afraid to love. Just keep loving...especially when it doesn't come easy or you don't feel like it. That's when God has called you to truly love. Don't you know that you were created for it? Keep loving Him! Below is a love letter to you from the Lover of your soul! Enjoy!
